We got to experience the full range of Charlottes' weather this week with a good old 40-50 knot Southeaster on Tuesday followed by beautiful glassy waters Wednesday.  The fishing action is still holding steady, however, particularly during the slack tide periods this week.  Green Point has been the favourite fishing spot, dishing up the full menu of Chinooks, Coho, Pinks, Lingcod and Halibut.  You just never know what's going to take your bait.  Tracy Ducharme boated a 41 pound Tyee Wednesday with guide Dave Yaeger while Alex McDonell opted to release a perfect big Chinook that was taped out to 44 pounds by guide Greg Ettles.  Fishmaster Keith Burdette joined the ranks of the 50 Pounder Club, releasing a beautiful Tyee that scored 56 pounds.  Way to go you guys!  Dave Harrison boated a big 70 pound Halibut this week, fishing with his son and QCL guide Sam Harrison out off Eagle Rock.  While the current weather continues to be very fair the forecast for the weekend sees a Southeasterly returning for Friday before swinging to Southwest for the balance.  Clouds and showers will once again be the norm.  The tides are currently easing off after peaking midweek so anglers can anticipate steadier fish activity throughout the day.
