Can you say 78 pounds!  What a fish!
Getting up early to fish that 6:30 tide paid off big time for Trevor and Brad, out with Robbie C this morning at Parker Point. A beautiful fish, well played and carefully released, is a joy to behold! Well done guys! and Congratulations Trevor!
It’s a great day for fishing… at QCL Haida Gwaii!

If you release such a fish it should never leave the water, and to play a fish of that size brings it to near death. It would be better practice to retain the fish, because the mortality is so high. I have fished with you folks a couple of times and I’m troubled by your release program, netting fish taking measurements and photo opps. Larger fish released in this fashon become easy prey items to waiting predators, or just simply die of stresses occured. Perhaps the best route is to take one’s limit and call it good. By doing that, you would probably would kill less fish in the long run. To be true conservationists other methods should be entertained.

    Thank you

    Mike
