Effective this spring the province of British Columbia is implementing a single harmonized sales tax (HST) of 12% that will apply to all goods and services currently subject to GST, namely your trip up to Queen Charlotte Lodge. To avoid incurring this increased tax on your package cost you will need to have paid the full invoice balance for your 2010 trip before April 30th, 2010. As per this new provincial implementation, anyone who has not paid the full balance of their package invoice by this date will see an increase of 7% in taxes on their next invoice. This increased rate will apply to the full contract amount, not just the balance outstanding as of April 30th, 2010.
