Responsible for maintaining all guest rooms across property, our housekeeping team consists of detail orientated and dedicated individuals. Bartender

QCL bartenders are responsible for showcasing their knowledge and enthusiasm for all things beer, wine and spirits. Create a lively and inviting atmosphere that compels guests to stay for a few. Delivering exceptional food and beverage service all while creating genuine connections with guests is our standard. MV Driftwood

Hostess – MV Driftwood

The MV Driftwood is our hospitality vessel that serves as the QCL operations centre on the fishing grounds. We strive to provide all QCL guests with once in a lifetime experiences, exceeding their expectations at every opportunity. Responsible for all Front of House needs on the vessel, being well versed in upscale service and bartending experience is required. Delivering exceptional food and beverage service all while creating genuine connections with guests is our standard. At QCL we are committed to creating a dynamic, positive, challenging and supportive work environment.
All applicants must be committed to providing top notch customer service, have a strong work ethic with the ability to work long hours on their feet, be enthusiastic, enjoy the challenges of living / working in a remote lodge environment, be independent yet team orientated.
3+ years in a fast-paced and upscale restaurant or bar required. Applicants must also possess a Canadian citizenship or valid Work Visa. Preference given to those that have previous resort or on-water experience.

Massage / Aesthetics

Twin Creek Spa offers professional treatment options for both men and women, some specially developed with the QCL angler in mind. From massage to aesthetics our spa team sees high demand all season.
Spa applicants must be committed to providing top notch customer service, have a strong work ethic with the ability to work long hours on their feet, enjoy the challenges of living / working in a remote lodge environment, be independent yet team orientated.
Those with previous spa experience and those with a Canadian citizenship or valid Work Visa will be given preference.

Staff Cooks

Provide culinary experience to assist with food preparation for staff and maintaining high standards of food safe, hygiene and sanitation. Successful candidate must have institutional or camp cooking experience and is proficient in large batch cooking for 100+ team members. Shift work is required. Assist in receiving, storage and inventory of product. Perform other duties as assigned by Kitchen Leads. Food Safe Level 1 required.
Preference will be given to applicants with previous Resort Experience, Serving it Right, Red Seal Certification, and or other related certifications.

First Cooks

Reporting directly to the Kitchen Leads, the position requires strong culinary background and food safe requirements. Good multitasking, communication and organization skills are required to perform well in this position. The successful candidate must have fine dining experience and possess interpersonal skills to be able to work in front of guests. Shift work is required. Assist in receiving, storage and inventory of product. Perform other duties as assigned by Kitchen Leads. Food Safe Level 1 required.
Preference will be given to applicants with previous Resort Experience, Serving it Right, Red Seal Certification, and or other related certifications.


Back of House

Line Cooks

Reporting directly to the Kitchen Leads, the position requires strong culinary background and food safe requirements. Good multitasking, communication and organization skills are required to perform well in this position. The successful candidate must have good line work experience in high-volume restaurant production and is proficient in fish, meat and seafood preparations. Shift work is required. Assist in receiving, storage and inventory of product. Perform other duties as assigned by Kitchen Leads. Food Safe Level 1 required.
Preference will be given to applicants with previous Resort Experience, Serving it Right, Red Seal Certification, and or other related certifications.


Back of House

Baker

Reporting directly to the Kitchen Leads, the position requires strong production and good knowledge of baking breads and pastries. Good multitasking, communication and organization skills are required to perform well in this position. The successful candidate must have at least one year of previous experience in a bakery and meet daily production standards. Assist in receiving, storage and inventory of product. Perform other duties as assigned by Kitchen Leads. Food Safe Level 1 required.
Preference will be given to applicants with previous Resort Experience, Serving it Right, and or other related certifications.


Back of House

Dishwasher

Responsible for hygiene and sanitary conditions in the kitchen including all equipment, tools and work surfaces. Candidates must demonstrate good communication skills and be physically fit to perform cleaning, stocking and organizational duties. Assists in receiving storage and inventory of product. Perform other duties as assigned by Kitchen Leads. Shift work is required.


Fishing Operations

Dock Staff

Members of our dock team are responsible for greeting guests, performing boat orientations, demonstrations of gear and fishing techniques, the care, handling, and processing of guest’s fish, daily cleaning and fuelling of the boat fleet, maintaining the order and cleanliness of the dock, and many other tasks as instructed by the management team. Candidates should be familiar with saltwater salmon and halibut fishing techniques and fishing gear, and have a knowledge of safe boat operation. P.C.O.C. certification will be a prerequisite to employment.

Staff are provided with pre-season travel to and post-season travel from the lodge, 3 meals per day, a social centre for enjoyment, gym facilities, shared accommodation, uniforms, and the opportunity to personally experience incredible fishing through our staff fishing program.

Saltwater Fishing Guides

LOVE FISHING? Have a passion for nature? Enjoy meeting new people? If you do, and you have an exceptional personality, we’d love to hear from you! We are seeking outstanding individuals to join our team of FISHING GUIDES for the upcoming summer season. Set in a pristine protected harbour at the northern end of Haida Gwaii, the luxurious Queen Charlotte Lodge is ideally situated to intercept salmon as they first return to the shallower coastal water. We offer guests luxurious accommodations, exciting fishing, fine meals, and relaxing activities with friends. We pride ourselves in the comfort, friendliness and attention to detail of the services we provide, and are interested in staff who share in this paradigm.

Our guides are responsible for the safe operation of our boats with a strong focus on guest satisfaction, safety and comfort. Reporting to the dock manager, duties will include meeting and greeting guests, taking experienced and inexperienced anglers fishing, daily cleaning of boats, demonstrations of fishing techniques to guided and unguided guests, care of guests fish, and other tasks as instructed by the management team.

Candidates should have exceptional customer service skills, a knowledge of safe boat operation, and be familiar with saltwater salmon and halibut fishing. If you do not yet have the required certificates, there are local course providers and plenty of time to obtain certification.
