As the main lodge is the hub of the hospitality program at QCL our dining room is action central for the majority of our food service. With a focus on freshness we source the best produce available and fly it in with fresh seafood specialties twice each week. Our baker keeps all the ovens full overnight to supply lodge guests with beautiful artisan baguettes, bread and pastries.
With most guests out on the fishing grounds throughout the day our service in the lodge dining room is largely focused on breakfast and dinner. Tides and weather often determine the timetable of anglers so we have breakfast ready by 4:30 am! Less ambitious visitors need not worry… we’ll have a wonderful breakfast for you at whatever time you happen to get started! Lunch is available on request for those who remain ashore or return for a mid-day break.
Dinner in the lodge each evening is the perfect setting to relax with friends and enjoy our hospitality. We’ve developed a program that jives perfectly with the day’s activities. On the first day of a trip everyone wants to stay out on the water as long as possible – for obvious reasons! But with the early arrival at the airport that morning they’re pretty tired by the end of the day! So our famous Welcome Barbecue is the perfect solution – a casual buffet dinner featuring a hearty selection of QCL classics like prime rib on the BBQ, our signature salmon on a cedar plank or maybe spit-roasted wild boar.
Add a sumptuous seafood buffet with a healthy salad bar and, of course, a tempting selection of cakes and sweet treats and you’ve got a veritable feast awaiting you once you hit the dock! Other nights on a trip feature a la carte menu service with a selection of dishes carefully conceived by our Chef to tick the wish-list of every diner. Seafood, meat & potatoes, game… we like to have something for everyone!
If you are looking for the greatest fishing experience of your life this is THE place to go. From the knowledgeable fishing guides to the delicious meals they have thought of every detail. The fishing was amazing – we easily caught our limit in coho and chinooks including my very first Tyee at 38lbs! The facilities are top quality with well-appointed rooms, a gorgeous main lodge, and a bar at the dock that has the best ‘après fish’ anywhere.
