The New Year is officially in full swing and we’re here to bring you another QCL Signatures Series recipe.

Straight from our Chefs to you, the Herb Crusted Halibut. This recipe is nostalgic for us, as it was featured on our Main Lodge A La Carte menu, many years ago. Who remembers it?!

Change up your weeknight dinner routine with this Herb Crusted Halibut – Pair it with your favourite side dish and a glass of white!  A quick, easy and delicious meal made with your QCL catch.

Materials

  • 4x 170g Halibut Fillets
  • 65g Panko
  • 20g chopped Parsley
  • 15g chopped Dill
  • 15g chopped chives
  • 15ml Olive Oil
  • 5g Lemon Zest
  • 6g Salt
  • 2g Ground Black Pepper

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 375° F.
  2. Line baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. Mix all ingredients, except the halibut, together.
  4. Pat dry halibut and lay out on baking sheet.
  5. Generously spoon the bread crumb mixture fillets and lightly press.
  6. Bake in the oven until crumb topping is lightly browned and fish flakes easily with a fork, approximately 10 to 15 minutes.

Serve and enjoy with your loved ones!

It’s 2024! Full of promise for the adventurous among us; turning the page on another year is something we look forward to. Around here, we know it’s time to roll up our sleeves and prepare for the downhill rush to Opening Day! It’ll be here before you know it.

A seasonal resort is, by definition, something special. It’s not a place you can just drop into anytime you feel like it, especially when there are no roads to get there! In our case there is only that precious 100 days between Spring and Autumn when everything lines up and it’s “the place to be” for epic wilderness and your first class fishing adventure. To make that happen consistently, our team spends the other 265 days of the year planning and preparing for your arrival. That’s why we’re so thrilled to greet you –  We’ve been waiting!

In the meantime, our managers have been looking at staffing, lining up our best returning personnel with keen new recruits to deliver signature QCL hospitality and services. Consistency is paramount to us. Many of our guests tell us that the culture of our crew is what truly sets us apart – beyond the location and the facilities – and we’re quite proud of that.

For our 34th season we’re looking forward to seeing almost all of you back again! The demand for spots this coming summer has been incredible, and our office team has been juggling groups, dates, boats and guides around to ensure we satisfy everyone’s needs. There are still some 2024 trips available but we’ll be attending 3 trade shows in the US, starting in mid-January, so don’t expect to have much choice available after that. To avoid missing out, it’s best to connect with our Sales Executive team soon!
